Salvatorian
Father Glen Sayers is the proper pastor of the Saint
Joseph Catholic Community. Father Glen exercises the
pastoral care of the community entrusted to him under
the authority of the Bishop Foley, whose ministry of
Christ he is called to share, so that for this community
he may carry out the offices of teaching, sanctifying
and ruling with the cooperation of other priests or
deacons and with the assistance of lay members of Christ's
faithful.
In
fulfilling his office of pastor diligently, Father Glen
strives to know the faithful entrusted to
his care. He
visits their families, sharing in their cares and anxieties,
and in a special way, their sorrows, comforting them
in the Lord. If in certain matters they are found wanting,
he is prudently to correct them. He helps the sick and
especially the dying in great charity, solicitously restoring
them with the sacraments and commending their souls to
God. A deeply spiritual man, he is especially diligent
in seeking out the poor, the suffering, the lonely, and
those burdened with special difficulties. Father Glen
strives also to ensure that spouses and parents are sustained
in the fulfillment of their duties to foster the growth
of Christian life in the family.
